Never let your cartridge run out of ink completely

          Do not use any adhesive tape, scotch tape, masking tape etc. on the print head

                Perform a standard cleaning test periodically

                    Don't leave the cartridge in a hot or cold car

                         Store in a cool place in a zip lock bag

                              Avoid contact with the print head and electronics
